These examinations involve selecting different endoscopes based on the patient's different diseases, in order to perform different procedures. Examining esophageal cancer, chronic gastritis, small intestine tumors, and colorectal polyps all rely on endoscopy.

For example, in cardiothoracic surgery, thoracoscopy is used to examine lung cancer, pericardial effusion, and pneumothorax.

　　比如婦科，檢查女性不孕、宮頸炎、盆腔炎、卵巢囊腫、宮頸癌要用到宮腔鏡、腹腔鏡等。

For example, in gynecology, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, etc. are used to examine female infertility, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian cysts, and cervical cancer.
